About Us
Our Story
Forever Clean Soap was established in 2016 by three women who met at the gym. As we pondered our retirements we started to walk and travel together. During our hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, our drive around Ireland and our trek to Alaska we brainstormed about making soap in small and/or large batches. We then experimented with recipes and methods using the most pleasing fragrances and colors. Now we are sharing our soaps, body butters, salt scrubs and bath treats with others and we are having fun. Our production lab and warehouse consist of one of our kitchens and garages in Vassalboro, Maine. In the summer of 2017 we took our soap with us to hike the 84-mile Hadrian’s Wallpath in England and in the summer of 2018 our soap joined us on our bike ride through Prince Edward Island. 
In 2019 Susan headed off to So. Africa on Safari without the rest of us just before we travelled to Dallas for the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild Conference. Covid restrictions kept us at home and on local trails for a while but in 2021 we finally toured the Southwest, USA. It was amazing! Most recently in February, 2024, we headed to Costa Rica to visit the Osa Peninsula and the area surrounding Monteverde. Our soap went with us and we shared it with the many wonderful people we met along the way. The trip was a huge success. Where next??
About Our Soap
Forever Clean Soap creates luxury cold processed soaps, whipped body butters, sea salt scrubs and bath products that are homemade in Maine with vegan ingredients, with the exception of our often requested goat’s milk soaps. If you are looking for soap that moisturizes, lathers, smells heavenly and can be used for overall bathing, as well as hand and face washing, then please give our soaps a try. Our whipped body butter is for dry, sensitive skin and a small amount will leave you feeling moisturized and smelling wonderful. Also, our sea salt scrubs provide a”scentsational”, exfoliating experience on your own “beach”. Our products are perfect for gifts, wedding favors, retirement parties, corporate functions, reunions, bridal and baby showers and other important life events that deserve to be “fragrant”.

Forever Clean Soap offers popular “scents of Maine” or a variety of other scents that will fit your event. Traditional sizes of our bars of soap are approximately 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches by 1 inch thickness. Additionally, our team would be happy to make these sizes smaller for you, with the measurements of 2 inches by 2.5 inches by 1 inch, if that better meets the needs of your event. Please contact us for corresponding prices. Whipped body butter and sea salt scrubs are packaged in 4 ounce containers. Furthermore, products that are immediately available can be viewed in our store. Please allow 6 weeks notice for special orders as our soap has to be made fresh, fully cured and finally wrapped. In addition, all of our labels can be personalized and include an ingredient list. Best of all, we offer free shipping on all orders over $35.
